A lovely story. It may be the beauty of Rome, or the weather, or the two main characters, but this is certainly very engaging.
The story switches viewpoint from both central characters and we are privy to their past, insecurities and various relationships. Both are likeable. There are a host of international supporting characters and this gives the atmosphere of the story an authentic feeling. Some are funny, others more serious.
Of course Rome itself is brought to life on the page with the most lovely descriptions. The ancient buildings, the food, the people are all just magical.
