This book is a typical romance novel about an unlikely couple Letty and Alf who fall in love whilst travelling in France and undertaking French lessons which Letty takes more seriously than Alf. They are both escaping relationships and keeping secrets from each other. Letty’s story has a bit of a sinister twist and it could be a bit triggering for anyone who has been sexually assaulted/raped or blackmailed. Alf as a character takes a bit of warming to as he can be a bit childish and chaotic but by the end he was very likeable. To be totally honest with you, I’m not really that into romance literature so I wasn’t mad about the book but I would recommend it to someone travelling to Paris as the Author described places really well and also the descriptions of the dances certainly would appeal to any Strictly Come Dancing fans. Overall a good book for romance lovers.
