This is a book I would describe as fun romantic fiction. I enjoyed this book but I wouldn’t describe it as one of the very best in the genre but it is far, far from one of the worst also. It’s a good, solid romantic read with a few twists along the way. I’d say it’s a good beach book or for some Sunday afternoon indulgence. The plot flows nicely and the characters are very easy to bring to life in your mind. The story is told from the eyes of Alf and Letty, who meet in fabulous Italy. Eventually they return to their respective towns, Blackpool and London but can the connection they have found with each other in Italy bring them together again?
