My first thought on seeing the authors' name on the cover was 'hang on a second - A book by the Lib Dem Leader!?!'
On reading the blurb, my first thoughts were confirmed - '...first-hand knowledge of the intrigues and machinations he writes about'....
Ok, let's give it a read then...political drama's do not really interest me but I will give it a go...this is his debut work of fiction with 3 non-fiction books published to date
The book opens with a snippet from Reuters - which already sets it in a modern time - which reassures me as I prefer to read books set in times I know well myself rather than historical stories.
Possibly a book for wannabe politicians to get their teeth into - much like I love to read books about female police women and detectives and live vicariously through them
