The opening couple of chapters had very little that was thrilling about them, with a mass of background information, and some ponderous language detracting from the liveliness of the descriptions of the Mumbai and Home Counties settings. However, I would be interested to hear more about the workings of Westminster from an insider’s viewpoint so it might be worth persisting with this.
