I do wonder why so many MPs have the desire to write novels - so much goes on in eh real world that you couldn't make up!
However the first few chapters of Vince Cable's first novel shows he has a very good descriptive turn of phrase. The initial outlining of our heroines rise to become an MP is glossed over a little too glibly but she is likeable & I am intrigued to see how she fits into the other story also being told which is set in India.
