I always enjoy a good political thriller in particular by recent or fairly recent politicans, because their knowledge of the ins and outs of the political scene can be very enlightening and it's sometimes difficult to work what is fiction and what is not. An brief look at this gives me great hope, involving not too far fetched international action and quite devious plots, quite like the real thing really. The scandal intruding into the life of an up and coming politican is of course only too real and has many parrallels in the real thing, as we have all read over many years. The question always in the forefront of the mind is can she survive or not? Is she arrogant enough to ignore the personal scandal or will she drawn into the mire? Can other things far away help her survive or will she eventually surcum into the international mire. I'm looking forward to reading the fullbook with great interest and then deciding does Open Arms open up an new career for the Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
