A DNF for me..

I’m usually the biggest lover of Young Adult, especially young adult which is being compared to the amazing works of John Green. I’ve read so, so many young adult books in my time, and loved 99% of them.

But this.. it just didn’t do it for me.

I actually couldn’t finish it. It felt very cliche and very boring! Every character seemed to be a ‘try hard’ to be quirky and individual and oh my god please shut up about it! I felt like Grace Town was the most insufferable character to read about, also. The characters were just.. horrendous!

It bugged me that everybody wanted to fix somebody. Life doesn’t work like that, and people aren’t toys that can be picked up and fixed.

A DNF for me, unfortunately! I really wish I’d enjoyed it, because stories about grief are very important, but I’ve read far better than this and I’d definitely promote those rather than this book. A shame, really.
