Ok, wow. I've been reading for a long time, and sometimes it takes me a bit of time to get into a book, but about 5 or 10 pages in i was already hooked! I've heard a lot about this book and so far it is meeting all the expectations.
The style of writing is different to a lot of other books, but in a good way - it feels refreshing and relatable, with more modern humour, phrases, etc. As someone who typically reads fantasy books, I do enjoy these kind of books as they always seem to draw me in.
The characters already seem well developed, perhaps not hugely detailed so far, but they feel more like people rather than just words in a book, if you get what I mean? And I love characters that are well-developed!
The story has definitely drawn me in, and I'm already asking about what's going to happen next! It does seem to move quickly very soon, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - it makes the book more interesting right from the start.
