Entertaining
I honestly can't decide how I feel about this book. There were flaws and parts I found slow or a little boring, yet I couldn't help but become completely attached to the novel.
In all honesty, I'm not sure what caused this level of attachment - I disliked the characters at time and found them quite annoying. However, I think that's partly what made the book so brilliant. The characters' emotions felt so raw and powerful. I could see the characters developing and learning and hurting right in front of me. One of my bigger issues when it came to characters was that they felt a little unrealistic. At times, some of them felt forced and the relationship between Lola/Murray/Henry felt a little fake.
Overall, I think this book could have been written better, but it was poignant and uplifting and left me overwhelmed by emotion. It was enjoyable and worth the read.
