It’s hard to review this book with spoiling it. It’s is heart breaking from the start.

Our chemical hearts highlights the differences in our society without making them a key influential factor. It represents perfectly how much love can change a person whilst maintaining the deeper issues that people have.

Many branches of mental health disorders are portrayed, from PTSD to depression to survivors guilt. There is an element of secrecy that as a reader I found enticing. For me it helped me understand how deep people’s pasts are rooted in them.

It’s isn’t your average ‘boy meets girl and falls in love’ kind of narrative, and the unexpected storyline is talked about in the book itself.

The book itself had thought-provoking phrases and the characters were so complicated and interesting. There wasn’t a full moment and several writing styles are incorporated.

I felt all the feelings and highly recommend this book!
