I thought this book was incredibly well written. Not only did it express the struggles of high school life pretty accurately, the characters were easy to relate to. I liked that it wasn’t the typical boy meets girl and they fall in love kind of book. Yes that is kind of the case but it included the internal struggles of all characters to really help understand them. I enjoyed that it was written in the first person, as though like a journal from Henry and that there were different types of people involved, not just the typical jocks and cheerleaders, but ‘nerds’, homosoxual characters, foreign characters etc. It helped me visualise it as I felt it was a book that really draws you in and it’s easy to relate to. I would definitely recommend it and I wish I hadn’t finished it in a day.
