When I first started 'Our Chemical Hearts' I wasn't sure if I was going to like it as it didn't sound like the type of book that I would typically read, but after the first few chapters I was hooked on it. I loved how the characters were very diverse and unlike any other usual character that is typical to young adult novels, their backstories and aspirations were very different and shockingly unexpected.
The story of Henry and Grace is very unpredicatble and takes many different turns throughout the course of the novel which I found to be interesting and made the book and characters extremely likable.
By the end of it, I was ready to put it on my "Favourites" pile and was wishing that it had a sequel. I really loved it!
