I think I found this book ok, and knowing it’s a YA read was what stopped me from giving it only two stars. There wasn’t a lot of drama or romance and think I would have enjoyed it more when I was a teenager and felt it was maybe more relatable.
I was quite disappointed by the ending but understood what it represents and why it ended that way. I didn’t feel a lot for the characters in the book, I didn’t find myself attached to any of them, which I think can make or break a book for me. I can’t say I’d recommend this book, I just didn’t enjoy it that much at all.
I did like the cover which is another hing that drew me to the book in the first place, in addition to the book hype of it, but I struggled to connect with the characters, struggled to get invested in the plot and honestly struggled to actually finish the book in the end.
