This isn't the best YA book but it's by far not the worst either. It's one of those books that you enjoy reading while reading it but once your finished you instantly forget everything. It didn't leave any kind of lasting impression on me unfortunately.
I liked and disliked the main character, his thoughts were intriguing but I found him to be incredibly naive and innocent. The female MC was clearly taking advantage of him as she had some seroes issues yet he was completely oblivious!
I didn't understand the connection between the two characters, it felt very forced with no real emotion to the relationship. The novel does focus on some very difficult topics like death and grief but this was mostly only revealed at end of the book.
