A story of a nearly made it happen romance. The author draws the reader in with a good fast moving narrative. It’s not your traditional Romeo and Juliet but the story has an honesty that is refreshing.

The reader is taken on an unusual journey through Henry’s attempts to get to know and understand Grace and what makes her tick. Grace seems to vacillate between holding onto her past and punishing herself for her past; this gets a bit painful at times but the author holds the readers hand and is quite gentle in her portrayal of teenage angst and loss.

The main characters get a bit exclusive and block others out which depicts how humans are when the hope of love is in the air; their friends support them which shows how important true friends are especially when things don’t turn out as you’d hope for.

It would be nice if the author revisited Henry and Grace at a later stage in their lives and take the reader on another journey with these characters. Enjoyed the book, have read this authors work before and would do again.
