this book was on my tbr for a long time, and to be honest i regret not reading it earlier.

first off, the cover is absolutely beautiful. second, the plot? *chefs kiss* it's the cliche story of someone trying to save the broken person, but in place of a girl trying to save a guy, it's a guy trying to save a girl.

henry's a hopeless romantic, who's immediately drawn to the new transfer student who is dressed in old clothing, walking with a cane. they're both asked to be editors on their high school newspaper, and henry has more and more questions.

it's beautiful and sad, dark and at times depressing. the heartbreak is worth it though and the book ends on a note that is so breath taking and real, and honestly, i wouldn't have wanted it any other way. it provides something so different in the teenage romance department; it's amazing.

the quotes i got from this! i love it, i love it, i love it. i said it before i really, really regret leaving it on my tbr for so long and if you can, get it and read is asap; it's absolutely elegant.
