This story looks so intriguing, it has a way of going about the cliche and annoying trope of ‘i’m not like other girls’ in a way that isn’t annoying? It’s simply because Grace has reasons for the way she is, she has a backstory and a life that had lead her to the way she is now.
Grace has tragedy in her past, as a teenage girl she’s felt loss and pain, which all make up her character, make her personality so different from most teenage girls.
I love how the roles are reversed and the guy is the romantic and our female mc is over the idea of love, more so scared of it.
The only thing I will say is that the world felt a little 2D as did our male character’s background and story, however i’m hoping that will change in future books.
I’m think I would of given this less stars if Grace’s character hadn’t’t of resonated with me the way it did, but alas I felt a connection to her so I gave it 3 stars at least.
