the perspective of the story telling is similar to many books of this genre, however this book is quite unique as it unconventionally portrays a more dismal take on love, whilst still proving love to be this strong force. the characters are intriguing, straying away from the stereotypical characters in romance books - this adds intrigue and interest that is often lost in many romance stories. the writing is not too wordy, rather it has a fast pace whilst still managing to create a picture-perfect level of description of the setting and the characters within a few pages. the characters and the story build up, there is a climax and from then on the pace slows, yet there is still action and activity making it worth reading and necessary to the story. the author has been able to expose the true nature of love by using the perspective of the character which shows emotion.
