Firstly, the front cover certainly gives an emphasis upon the setting of the book. A modern day tale that will resonate with many of us living through the pandemic in 2020 and of course, now. I like that the house has bubbles around it as again, it is something we had to adapt to, when having our bubbles to isolate with and so, at some point isolation is definitely a theme of the book.
When reading the beginning, I really got a sense for the characters. How each of them are from different backgrounds, but are connected in some way, and even related. I found that I wanted to read on, as not too much was given away from the plot. I got the feeling that the book captures a lot around emotions and relationships and how these can be changed or overlooked throughout the world changing around them. Certainly, something that many of us lived through when being in isolation through covid. I would love to read more!
