A quirky interesting read

The first thing that drew me to this book was not the synopsis, but the cover. The colour pallete is likeable and I like the house surrounded by trees in the background. The illustration of the house within the bubble appears to fit the synopsis well, indicating that the characters really are within their own bubble. While the illustration was not overly detailed, I found it did the job well and was a perfect match to the story itself.

Hopefully the book does not encompass the pandemic too much, but it doesn’t appear to have done so far, this is merely just an added background layer to the story and gives the characters a purpose to being in one place together.

The variety of characters is interesting and vast, with each of them having a depth of personality/background/distinguishable attributes, not something that I’ve read in recent months.

I think this will be one that I do look to read fully upon release as I’m intrigued to find out what happens.
