I've not read any novels which use the pandemic as a basis although it's inevitable there will be many written, now and in the future, so this would be an interesting entry point.
The first look at the characters shows people of different nationalities, cultures and ages coming together to share a house and it seems like it would be a fascinating abd intriguing read to discover how those relationships evolve and change and how the plot develops.
