Initially the concept of people all together and a bit of chaos sounds like the backbone to a good book but, the writing style and large amount of description just didn't draw me in. Reading about a man eating a cheese sandwich in long bites, quite frankly, feels like someone is trying to fill a word count. I'm well aware of the irony in writing this first impression.
