Set during the start of the covid pandemic and follows a group of characters who all isolate together in their friend’s country house.

It explores a wide range of topics such as identity, adoption, racism, sex, celebrities, cancel culture and the power of social media.

The majority of the characters come from diverse backgrounds and you witness the concern and worry from their point of view about racism hatred blowing up everywhere. The death of George Floyd is talked about and the presidential election taking place.

Alongside some heavy issues there is also joy in the friendships and the relationships that blossom. There are some humorous parts and touching moments. But as expected there were some juicy drama ongoing or secrets revealed.

It is written in a way that you get to know the characters intimately and get completely caught up in their personalities. However, I felt the book seemed to lose its way towards the end sections and I found myself starting to lose my interest.

Overall it was enjoyable and certainly a very relevant, thought provoking novel of current times. If you like a book with a lot of drama and interesting characters, this will be a book for you.
