I'm not really sure how I feel about Our Country Friends, the book brings together a range of characters who spend lockdown in a big country house. The guests come from a range of back grounds and seem to be known interchangeably by their first name, last name and job title which is very confusing at times. The dynamics and relationships are really interesting and no one seems to like each other much or else they question their likeness - at one point Karen wonders in friends daughter Nat only likes she because she is Korean and Nat loves BTS. It is an interesting book though I am not sure it will age well as it is very 'current' to the 2020 lockdown which already is starting to feel like a distant memory. I didnt love it, I didnt hate it but I kinda wanted more from it.
