I really didn't enjoy this novel. The story was quite confusing in the beginning and seemed to be all over the place. Once the confusion settled the story was quite boring and just seemed to plod along. The writing didn't flow very well and the author seemed more intent on telling you about where people came from previously - Korea, Russia etc... then actually telling a story. I normally enjoy reading stories about people with other backgrounds and nationalities but this was just like the author had something to prove by putting this in the novel. It didn't feel part of the story. There were quite a few times l wanted to give up reading this book - which is not like me ! I normally read anything and everything ! I did preserve reading til the end though but was sadly disappointed as it was predictable and just seemed to peter out and finish with no real story
