I have to say I really struggled with this author, although I perceived until the end. I hate starting a book and not finishing!
I just found I couldn't really build up enough interest in any of the characters, except maybe Nat the little girl. The story didn't really grip me and didn't really go anywhere captivating enough for me.
At times, I found the book fairly obvious and really really quite boring. The last few chapters were just outright strange and the ending really very dull, leaving me wanting more - well not exactly more of the book!
The book is far too long and really doesn't go anywhere, except for the fact the eight main characters stay in one location - in bungalows on one estate, and go for the odd walk! Other than that there's not much that happens, which I suppose is the point given it's written during the time of the pandemic. Although, not at a time of full lockdown.
