Lock down promises

A book always scores well with me if there is a short introduction page to the characters, so that was an encouraging start! It begins well with the central character Senderovsky's chaotic lifestyle and manic driving. This promised to be a great metaphor for the pandemonium of the pandemic in America.

Whilst most of the characters are not terribly sympathetic, they are all quite individual and therefore the their own roles.

It takes a while to understand the interdependencies and more could have been explored in place of the unnecessarily detailed descriptions of the physical antics of their affairs. Leave more to the imagination next time please!

The surreal nature of Vinod's thoughts and memories in the later chapters are very effective.

The text flowed well and I enjoyed the read, but a huge opportunity in creating a full parallel with the national and international turmoil and at times chaos of the pandemic has been missed
