This book just wasn’t for me. I enjoyed the beginning and found it quite interesting, the story slowed considerably about a third of the way into the book. The middle section was particularly odd and felt very jumpy and muddled to me. The end of the book was a welcome relief if I’m honest. The story picked up a little and it meant the book was nearly done. It’s not a book I’d be in a rush to talk about but also not one of the worst I’ve ever read. It just wasn’t for me.
The subject matter of covid and covid lockdowns didn’t bother me, some may be weary of this subject by now though.
I would hate for this review to deter anyone from giving this book a go, not every book suits every person and although this wasn’t for me it may become someone else’s favourite read.
I’m really disappointed I didn’t like it as I appreciate all the work that went into making it.
