I was very excited to read this because the plot and the story sounded so funny and interesting. the novel was absolutely hilarious but it was not my favourite. the book had great characters who were all funny and stand out in their own ways, the plot was hilarious and I loved the premise of a new mum who is struggling. i think it is a story that will resonate with a lot of people, so not only is it funny, it has a deeply personal and sad side to it which I think is actually quite difficult to do and to master in a book.
however, I was not a huge fan of the writing style in this book - while the writing was not bad It did struggle to keep me engaged with the story and i often found myself daydreaming or not understanding parts of the novel. however, overall it was a cute and lighthearted read and i would read more from this author in the future because there was potential.
