I really struggled with this book.
Firstly, I wasn't sure whether I really wanted to read a book about Covid lockdowns - all too familiar territory!
I found the start of the book a bit of a drag as couldn't really engage with any characters. I found it hard to pick up and couldn’t get into it. Sorry! Kind of regret making this an early book of 2022..

It was an odd book with three distinctive sections.

The first section was the character introductions, which were oddly unengaging, included an strange collection of ‘masturbatory incidents’ when nearly everyone either zoomed off to their chalets to ‘take care off themselves’, or of someone else…

A middle part of this book was somewhat dullish back and forward between ‘The Actor’ with the other characters (is it even mentioned or explained why he is know as The Actor) which doesn't really resolve itself.
There's also truck which keeps appearing now and again but I personally lost interest in this after a while and can't remember whatever came to anything.

The third part is basically a few chapters of covid-induced hallucinations - some made of memories and are totally imagined - which got a bit boring for me.
The results in a bit of less impressive ending.
In theory the story could have been great being a pandemic book could have been what we needed - but I would have liked to enjoy it more than I did in the end.
