8 estranged friends decide to get together at the Senderovsky Bungalow complex to spend the worldwide lockdown together during the Covid19 pandemic. 8 friends with a lifetime of stories. Conflicts arise, relationships come and go and secrets are unveiled.

The premise of this book is a good one, it's a different light to the pandemic and I felt the book had a lot of potential.

However, the characters just weren't likeable to me. I think Nats character added the quirkiness I'd expected, and Vinods character is sometimes loveable, but other than that I didn't like or connect to any of them. Karen's and Masha's relationship was slightly confusing, especially at the end of the book too.

I really struggled to get through this, and it took me a lot longer to read than I anticipated. I really didn't want to DNF it, but nothing really happened.

I felt more could be done with the mystery around the guy in the truck, and the relationships that happened seemed a little flippant 'making the most of it' type.

Overall, it wasn't the book for me. Although, the writing style was good and there's no doubt that the author is a good writer, so I may still be inclined to read some more of his work.
