I thought this book opened in quite an engaging way. It promises to be a fun, light read; the style is chatty, as though you’re talking to a friend, and I can imagine that it will be a great beach read for the summer! There is also some humour in there - always a plus! I love it when I can really sink into a book in this way.

Overall though, the concept sounds really intriguing to me. I love the idea of near-misses, and the modern twists and turns on it make it current and relatable. Nadia is especially relatable; she’s the typical working woman, struggling to make it in today’s world. It’s fun to see a character who is essentially yourself take these twists and turns - like a dream, but one you can dip in and out of.

Overall, a promising read.
