I loved the premise of this - Daniel notices Nadia on his morning commute on the underground in London and writes a message to her in the 'missed connections' section on the local paper. There are then a lot of genuine missed connections as the two have many near misses in their quest to find each other.

I liked Nadia and Daniel. Daniel is quiet, a bit shy, and a genuinely likeable character, while Nadia is clumsy, always on the last minute, and quite outspoken. The side characters were also interesting, especially Romeo. I liked his support of Daniel, the way he built up Daniel's confidence by being a good friend.

There were also some surprising moments where the author makes a point of highlighting some of the problems women face in the dating scene today, and she touches on the issue of consent in a realistic way that doesn't feel out of place. There were other realistic moments that made the story and characters feel very relatable.

There are a couple of things that made me rate this three stars rather than four - one, while I did like the characters and found them to be relatable, I didn't feel myself overly invested in the story or the will they/won't they plot. The other thing was that the middle of the book did drag, and there were quite a lot of very convenient coincidences brought into the story in order to drag out the suspense.

Overall, though, I enjoyed this book, and I would definitely read more from this author in the future.
