This was a refreshing modern take on a romantic comedy novel. For a start we read from both Nadia and Daniel's perspectives, something I loved in 'The Flatshare' and has worked super well here too. It was laugh out loud funny at times and both Nadia and Daniel are such lovable characters you can't help but instantly form a connection with them. The actual storyline is wonderful. Not only do we see all the near misses with Nadia and Daniel and see how their love story develops but we also witness the strong relationships with the secondary characters that are their best friends. At times, all these near misses are almost frustrating to the point of it seeming pointless to actually be included in the book as the amount of near misses didn't really need to feature to keep the plot moving on. This, however, is a minor point and overall didn't damage how this is a marvelous summer read.
Although all opinions are my own, I would like to thank AVON and Readers First for an advance copy of this novel.
