This book is definitely written for people looking for an unashamedly romantic, summer novel. It is a contemporary romance in every sense and, if that's what you're looking for, it's worth a read.

The book follows a relationship of near-misses and almost-meetings, from the perspective of Nadia, an intelligent, confident woman who's unlucky in love, and Daniel, a man who is still suffering from the loss of his father. The two characters are both fascinating and interesting to read, with surprisingly similar perspectives but definitely distinctive voices.

I was unsure what to rate this book as I found it to be a confusing mix of completely gripping and somewhat slow. Despite this, by around halfway, I was so desperate to find out what would happen to Daniel and Nadia that I devoured much of the book in one sitting. Although I can't say I completely enjoyed how many coincidences the book relied upon, and how frustrating many of the near-misses were, I was very impressed that the author made me so invested in the result of the novel that I couldn't help but get mildly addicted.

Overall, this is a nice contemporary. The premise relies a little too heavily on coincidences and fate for me, but that definitely makes the book romantic and I'm sure many people would love this novel as an easy, summer read.
