I knew I wanted this one as soon as I saw the synopsis for it a while back, so I was really happy to get the chance to read it.

The premise is basic enough. Daniel takes the same London train every morning, and finds himself becoming increasingly attracted to fellow passenger Nadia. Not wanting to come across as a 'weirdo' or 'that guy', he struggles with how best to approach her. Eventually he settles on placing an ad in the Missed Connections section of the morning newspaper (think Rush Hour Crush, for anyone familiar with the Metro).

Sounds simple enough, right? But of course, as Shakespeare taught us, the course of true love never did run smooth. And who even says this will be true love? What follows for Daniel and Nadia is a story of missed opportunities, and a will-they-won't-they romance that keeps you guessing all the way through.

I loved this! I'm pleased to say that it very much lived up to my expectations. Sweet, funny, and (most importantly for me) relatable, it was a really easy and fun read that always left me wanting to read 'just a few more pages'. Chapters alternate between Daniel and Nadia throughout the book, which I enjoyed - seeing the story from both their perspectives helped drive it along at a good pace, and I found both characters very likeable, so I enjoyed reading both sides. Williams introduces some great secondary characters throughout the book too, who help us get to know Daniel and Nadia's true characters a bit better.

Overall l I found this to be a great read - I loved the story, the humour, and most of all the characters. I actually felt a bit sad to be leaving them once I finished reading. If you like contemporary, witty romances I would definitely recommend giving this a go. 4 big shiny stars from me 🌟🌟🌟🌟
