I was so excited about this book.

“It’s just – Nadia. You don’t hear of many Nadias around.”

And I’m Nadia. I’m melting with delight. Anyway, back to the main reason we are here – #OurStop

After being in an unhealthy relationship with a passive-aggressive man, Nadia wants to put her life back in track. She started this “New Routine to Change Her Life” and the main thing that this routine involving is to catch the train on time. And on time means to catch the 7.30 am train, which is not so easy thing to achieve.

” ‘And over a couple of weeks, I figured out that on Monday you always got the 7.30, and sometimes on a Tuesday too.’ Nadia laughed from her. ‘Ha! That’s hilarious to me. I always have the best intentions at the start of the week, and it never lasts. I’m just not a morning person!’ “

Daniel, on the other side, is strict. He wants to be at 7.30 train so he can see her. There is no chance to not fall for him. He has a lot of soft spots and he is just lovely. And shy. That’s why he decides instead of stopping her and introduce himself, to do something more romantic. So he writes an advert in the Missed Connections section in the newspaper.

“To the devastatingly cute blonde girl on the Northern line with the black designer handbag and coffee stains on her dress – you get on at Angel, on the 7.30, always at the end nearest the escalator, and always in a hurry. I’m the guy who’s standing near the doors of your carriage, hoping today’s a day you haven’t overslept. Drink some time?”

And from here all the actual ‘almost missed’ situations begins.

The book is full of events. I may say it is kind of overloaded. The author provided us with a lot of background information for the characters, which makes them more alive, real, and complete people. But for me, this was a positive thing as well as negative. The biggest part of the book is rotating around each one personal life. This gives us a lot of information but at the same time makes the story slow-going. Another thing that annoyed me a little is how long the author stretched the events that lead to Daniel and Nadia actual meeting each other. It was like ‘okaaay, they are going to meet now’, but they don’t – okaaay, maybe next time? This drives me nuts, honestly. And when they finally meet I shouted ‘FINALLY’ and scared the hell out of my cat. 😀 As for me, this is not a story worth 360 pages. It can easily be cut in like half?

Still, this was one good book. A funny rom-com you need to bring to your vacation. It is kind of light and easy read, although it took me some time to get it going, but once you got into the story, you will finish it in no time. Strongly recommend it if you want to laugh on the beach or simply chill out with a good book near the pool.
