It took me a little while to finish this book as although it is very light hearted and easy to read I wasn’t completely drawn in by the story from the start.
From the start, I found that the story line was very predictable and so I think I was a bit bored as I knew what was going to happen. I also thought that the author also tried to ensure that the characters spoke in a way that was modern and up to date with young people, but this seemed a little bit too hard at times... maybe because I am the same as the main character and know that I don’t speak in that way!
Overall though, I did enjoy the book in the end as it was a charming and uplifting love story. I did like the way that there were lots of opportunities for the main characters to meet but they kept missing each other so it makes the reader more anxious for them to get together. I would recommend this book if you are looking for something lighthearted and joyful to read.
