I was honestly so ready to love this book. I'm quite easy to please when it comes to rom-com kind of books - take the flatshare, for example, which I loved so much! There was just something about this book that just felt off and made me feel awkward and uncomfortable to read.

The whole boy-sees-girl-on-tube-then-proceeds-to-flirt-via-newspaper-whilst-describing-her-from-creepy-viewpoint just didn't sit right with me and if this was real life it would scream RED FLAG. It just felt extremely stalkerish and even though I kept trying to imagine it as a cute beginning of a romance, I just couldn't get past the icky feeling of imagining if it was me that a stranger was so fixated on after seeing on the tube a couple of mondays in a row (also knowing my name from eavesdropping, and knowing the stop I get off at).. like please, how is that cute??? It certainly wouldn't make me want to reply to said ad in the dream of going on a date with tube-stalker.

Like fair enough, it all seemed pretty okay from Dan's POV because he knew who he was flirting with and had all the power in the situation - Nadia, on the other hand, was clueless and for all she knew he could've been a serial killer. It started to feel less awkward and gross once Nadia met him for the first time because even without properly knowing who he was, she had still met him and wasn't completely out of the loop with the whole #ourstop situation.

Aside from the fact Daniel came across as creepy considering he'd never spoken to this girl, I also just didn't like the characters. They were bland and boring and the only character I liked was Romeo because atleast he was funny. Also the romance. Don't get me wrong I usually love a slow-burn romance but this was painfully slow and the waiting for them to meet was just so frustrating. The one good thing about this book was that it definitely got a bit more enjoyable towards the end when they had both finally met and Nadia could also fancy him without being completely clueless, even if it still read like they had zero chemistry whatsoever..

Overall, I just didn't love this book and got through quite a bit of the end half through skimming because I just wanted to find out how it ended.
