Our Stop is a contemporary romance and exactly the sort of thing I wanted to escape in at the moment. It’s a perfect summer read (even if we won’t be relaxing on a beach somewhere!)
This is such a fun story, of two strangers, Nadia and Dan, who catch the same train to work. The premise is very cute, as their journey begins when Dan takes the plunge and sends in a message via the Missed Connections section of the newspaper. It becomes clear that they are destined to be together, but all the way through they just keep missing each other.
The plot is orchestrated with lots of near misses, the will they/won't they moments, which can definitely feel a little cheesy. Most of the time this was, for me, in a good way - reminiscent of a good rom com (although some were a bit far fetched!). In fact, I think this would make a brilliant film!
