Our Stop really isn't the sort of book that I normally choose to read however I found it in a charity shop and recognised it from the Readers First list of books so bought it.
In contrast to the bright attractive cover, I found the storyline uninteresting, the characters insipid and abandoned my attempt to read this drivel at page 87.
This book is clearly aimed at younger readers who are at the 'dating' stage in their life.
The main characters, Nadia and Daniel, are young professionals in London who find it difficult to meet anybody with whom they wish to have a long term meaningful relationship. They meet through a post which Daniel places in a newspaper about a girl that he is attracted to on the tube who he doesn't have the courage to talk to directly.
Laura recognises that the post is about her - a disorganised, but fairly typical young woman who is influenced by her more worldly friends.
I can't think of anybody I know who would enjoy this book so i guess it will end up back in a charity shop!
