This was my first book of Laura Jane Williams and I enjoyed it. I listened to it in an audiobook format and it really gave a personality to the characters. I think the romance is something most wish for which makes the book lighthearted, sweet and very fun. I did find the will they and won’t they got a bit boring to the end as it kept happening. Normally I’m fine with a couple of situations like this but it felt it was happening throughout the whole book and this made me wish that the book was different or needed earlier. I loved the cultural references and imagine it would be so fun for someone who lived in London as I recognised a lot of places. With the on and off, or rather near misses, it made the book very unpredictable except for the happy ending of course which is a staple in romance books. I knew I wouldn’t love this but I did still enjoy it and I’m going to be reading her other works.
