I shouldn't laugh about someone's head exploding...

The start of the very first chapter was funny but awful at the same time. Having magical powers that make people's heads explode when you kiss them is far from ideal, to be honest. I don't think this book will necessarily be my cup of tea, so won't actually be entering the prize draw, but I feel that this is a YA that younger audiences will enjoy. The cover of the book suggests to me that this book is intended for a younger audience, potentially in their early/late teens.
