Having read the 'sneak preview' of this YA novel, my first impression is that whilst I can see that the writing style is likely to appeal to its target audience, I didn't feel engaged with any of the characters and so have no interest in finding out how the story progresses! I imagine that the cover will appeal to younger readers but it was an immediate turn-off for me.
