Not sure who the target audience is supposed to be for this book. While there are some universal themes such as friendship, love and loneliness, and the brightly-illustrated front cover might draw a few younger readers in, references to violence, drugging and medical experimentation conducted on pregnant women in the past might be an awkward start for a "wholesome" trilogy.
