although im a bit older than the target audience of this book, i did enjoy it, while its mostly a book about a teenage boy with super powers connected to his emotions that he cant control. but this book is deeper than that its a story of self discovery and figuring out your place in the world, each character is battling their own daemons, from the need to be independent, their sexuality, jealousy, and the pressures of everyday life such as exam pressure a story of friendship, i am curious to see how this story develops, i like the diversity within the character group while mentioned its not the main focal points, i hope to learn more about the characters families in future books, and the backstory of how Freya and Marcus got together i love the friendship between Freya and Steven everyone needs a friendship likes theirs, what would you do if all your emotions caused a physical and dangerous reaction, could you learn to control them,
