I wasn't sure what I'd make of this book, it being some years since I could be described as a young adult!
However it was a heap of fun. We follow the story of a group of teenagers, with Stevie being the main character. A young man grappling with his sexuality and a strange set of powers he doesn't understand. When he accidentally blows the head off of a guy he kisses at a party he decides to do a runner and ends up in the dead as a doornail, seaside, town of Grunsby.
Grunsby is completely devoid of life and personality. Steven's best mate, Freya, goes in search of him which then leaves Marcus and Troy in hot pursuit of them both.
It turns out that Grunsby-on-Sea has a whole heap of secrets and will be the key to Stevie understanding his powers BUT there's a huge mystery to solve first. The trouble with mysteries is that you never know which characters you can trust......
