The reviews all said this was a sweet, feel good story and they weren't lying! Although there is some romance here, it's gentle enough not to really be a feature. I love the humour, and the kids all have unique voices, which doesn't always happen in this kind of book.

I love the idea of this, too; it's a unique one that I haven't seen before, and David brings it to some surprising places. I saw a couple of twists coming, but there's a few that surprised me as I read! I don't want to give anything away as this is really a book that's best read unspoiled. The powers and the way they're used are really unique.

This is the first of a series, but it's not a cliffhanger ending, meaning that while you will want to read the next one, you won't be totally frustrated waiting! It's a great balance and one that a lot of books don't get right. I'm really looking forward to the next volume.
