This book isn't usually the type i would pick up in a bookstore but after seeing the cover that radiated a variety of bold colours that popped out to me i knew that i needed to give it a try!

"Overemotional" by David Fenne is a story that follows 17 year old Steven after blowing up the head of the guy he kisses. He flees to the miserable town, Grunsby-on-Sea, determined not to hurt anyone else. But Grunsby-on-Sea isn't what he expected it to be...

This book was full of fun adventures, friendships and many plot twists. The writing style was easy to follow and quite fast-paced which i love to see as I don't like reading unnecessary details that don't relate to the plot or the characters.

This story is perfect for young teenagers who are looking for a fun book with superpowers and a LGBTQ+ representation. I didn't dislike the book but it just wasn't for me although I'm happy I gave it a go and I am still looking forward to seeing more books from David Fenne.
